NYC was one of the hardest cities to be hit by COVID in the United States. What Remains it’s a visual archive of a city, famous for its fast-paced streets and congested sidewalks, forced to pause.

The invisible disease shut down the city, its stores were left suspended in time with winter fashion all the way through spring. Time was nowhere to be seen. Then George Floyd’s death happened and people took the streets to protest yet another black man killed by the police.

“What Remains” is an archive from lockdown and shutdown, to the beginning of 2021
